Pregnancy testing just got easier with a revolutionary product that will tell you if you’re pregnant from just your saliva.

Salistick, a novel pregnancy test that offers women an alternative to traditional urine-based pregnancy tests, is now available in the UK and Ireland.

It offers the ability to test anywhere, anytime, and more people can be a part of the testing experience.

The test is based on technology which detects the pregnancy hormone β-hCG in saliva, providing highly accurate early pregnancy detection.

The testing process is simple: users pool saliva in the mouth and then use the collection swab to gather the sample.

Results can be read within five to 15 minutes, with early indications potentially appearing as early as three minutes.

For accurate results, it is recommended to use the pregnancy test one day after a missed period or two days after the expected day of the period to ensure adequate levels of hCG, the pregnancy hormone detected by the test.

Salistick was created by Salignostics, an Israeli medical diagnostics company that developed a saliva-based rapid antigen test for Covid-19, currently used in Europe and Africa.

The company is also working on other saliva-based diagnostic tests for various diseases.

The Salistick saliva pregnancy test is available at Superdrug, and it will soon be on Amazon.

‘It has been nearly 50 years since the launch of the first at-home urine pregnancy test, and there haven’t been many advancements in this field. We are excited to bring this innovative product to our customers,’ said Caris Newson, healthcare director at Superdrug.

Salistick costs £9.99 in the UK and €11.99 in Ireland. The price may vary slightly depending on the retailer.
